Police sources said some of the detainees could be children of film personalities. Inspector Anil Jadhav from the anti-narcotics unit, Worli, was present at the party. Jadhav is being questioned as to what he was doing there.

“We have detained 220 boys and 60 girls, most of them aged between 20 and 25 years, in the operation. We have seized a sizable amount of drugs from the party,” said Inspector S Patil, head of Khalapur police station. Sources said the party was organised by two people and one of them has been detained. The panchnamas were still being carried out when the report last came in. The detained youngsters have been taken for a medical check-up to Khopoli and Khalapur hospitals.
