The Congress on Saturday slammed BMC Commissioner Ajoy Mehta and Mumbai police chief Datta Padsalgikar over their participation in  the shooting of ‘the Save Rivers” campaign along with Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and his spouse.

Opposition leaders accused Fadnavis of misusing the power of the CM to promote his family members and forcing the civil servants to participate in the campaign, which they called private and commercial. It said the officers took part in the programme without seeking permission from the government and demanded disciplinary action against them.
