Class IV student sodomised by neighbour in Bhiwandi

A nine-year-old class IV student was allegedly sodomised by his neighbor on October 3, around 12pm inside the accused flat.

The accused, a labourer, has been identified as Anwar Shaikh, 40, and resides at Shantinagar area in Bhiwandi. After the incident, he threatened the boy to not reveal about the incident else he will kill him and his father.

The very next day the boy fell ill and was taken to the hospital. That's when the boy narrated the horrifying incident to his father.

Scared, the boy's father registered a complaint and Shaikh was arrested. He will remain in police custody for six days.

"The accused lured the boy with a Rs10 note but he denied. So, the accused dragged him inside and forced himself on the boy," said an officer.

The accused has been booked under section 377 (unnatural sex) of the Indian Penal Code and other relevant sections of The Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012.
