A 52-year-old CISF jawan today allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself with his service weapon at the international airport premises in Mumbai, police said.
Pawalram Kulharia ended his life by firing a round in his head, deputy police commissioner Satyanarayan Choudhary said.
According to police, Kulharia was in a bus on the service road near cargo gate number four when he took the extreme step.
Soon he was rushed to nearby Nanawati hospital, where he was pronounced dead before admission, police said.
The reason for the suicide is not yet clear, the DCP said.
