Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis took a detailed review of the impending drought situation in the state. CM Fadnavis has instructed the tehsildars to to apprise him directly if they were not getting the requisite number of tankers for supplying water to parched villages. He also further asked village sarpanch (heads) in Jalna and Aurangabad districts to take up water conservation related works. He has assured them that there would be no fund paucity for the drought related works.

Chief Minister Fadnavis directed the officials to have a common number for complaints regarding drought related issues. He told the tehsildars to ensure that every complaint is addressed and sorted out in a matter of 48 hours. A toll free number '8879734045' has been provided for two districts of Jalna and Aurangabad for any issue related to drought.

Fadnavis held the meeting via an audio bridge so that it was two way communication which provided an opportunity to Fadnavis to directly talk to sarpanch, gram sewak as well as district collector and the concerned tehsildar in the area as well as seek their feedback.

Currently there are 5000 tankers providing water to drought affected areas of the state. The Aurangabad division alone gets 2,756 tankers daily as it is worse affected. CM spoke to the village representatives so that every village of Aurangabad district and Jalna district is supplied water equitably.

Fadnavis told the tehsildars to take up repair works for the drinking water supply schemes so that such schemes could function effectively.

Chief Minister also told the officials and sarpanches(village heads) to have coordination when it comes to cattle camps and fodder camps in their respective areas. He told the officials to consider the population figures of 2018 for the village while deciding on number of tankers for the village.
