Maharashtra chief minister Prithviraj Chavan on Tuesday called for a change in social mindset to attain genuine empowerment of women in all spheres of life, including economic."We have to strive for economic and social equality for women even if they are seen leading on all fronts. Literacy is the tool to ensure health and nutrition of women," he said addressing a function in Pune on Women's Day.The chief minister also appealed NGOs to work together with government towards this goal.
