According to sources, the state government has asked the secretaries and officers of its various department to resolve the online complaints promptly
The central government has reprimanded the state government for its inability to address the online complaints registered by the citizens against the inefficient and corrupt officers.
According to sources, the state government has asked the secretaries and officers of its various department to resolve the online complaints promptly.
"However, the Central government recently reprimanded the state for not addressing online complaints. It is very unfortunate that we are boasting about digital Maharashtra when digital complaints are not properly addressed," said a senior official.
Another senior government official informed that the system was rectified after the snubbing. "We have issued the circular on May 18 and asked the various department officials to implement it properly," said the official from the general administration department.
As per the circular, each state department has to see the merit of the complaints and resolve it immediately. The complainant should be updated about the complaint status, stated the circular. It further noted that sometimes, the complaint against the particular officer has been sent to the same official by the complainant. "In that case, the complaint should be forwarded to another senior and concerned authority," the circular added.
