The Central Railway on Saturday shifted the signal pole at Ghatkopar Station to fill a pit where Kurla resident Monica More had fallen and lost her arms while boarding a train on January 11.“Early on Saturday morning, the traffic signal at the new location was made functional. Now the next work that is underway is to fill the pit on platform No 2,” said a railway official. The work is expected to be complete by Sunday, he said. Meanwhile, railway officials have also begun work to cover pits at other stations.Sixteen-year-old Monica More slipped into a pit while trying to board a local to CST. Two commuters took her to a her in an auto to Rajawadi Hospital. She was then taken to KEM Hospital, Parel. However, doctors could not reattach her severed arms as the body parts had not be preserved properly.
