The Nagpada police investigating into the kidnapping of a seven-year-old girl from Mumbai Central area have released CCTV footage showing apparent involvement of a young woman in the crime.Footage shows woman with girlThe police while scanning through the footage from CCTV cameras at the railway station and the areas in the vicinity saw that a young woman walking away while holding the girl in her arms.Girl was playing aloneAccording to the Nagpada police, the minor girl lived with her parents on the footpath under the Mumbai Central Railway station foot overbridge. On January 29, the victim, a junior KG student, was playing alone and her parents, who do odd jobs, were off to work.Suspect lured victim with foodFinding that the child was alone, the police said, the suspect woman took the child away on the pretext of giving her something to eat. The woman had come to stay on the footpath just two days ago.Parents reported crime to cops"When the parents returned from work found that their daughter was missing, they first searched the area but didn't find her. Later, they approached us and we registered a kidnapping case," said an officer from Nagpada police station.He added, "It looks like the woman had planned the kidnapping few months ago as she had visited the area on earlier occasions."
