The new CBI office will be set up in Sector 7, near Bhosari District Centre, on Pimpri-Chinchwad New Township Development Authority (PCNTDA) land. The agency has already sent a proposal to PCNTDA recently.

Superintendent of police of Pune ACB-CBI, Vidya Kulkarni, told DNA that the new CBI premises in Pune will have look like a corporate office. “Provisions have been made to establish residential quarters on the same premises,’’ she added.

PCNTDA chief executive officer, Suhas Divase, said the authority has approved the proposal in principle. About 2 acres has been earmarked for the project, subject to approval of the state government’s urban planning department.
