The deceased has been identified as Baburao Vitthal Moghekar, who lived in Jain’s outhouse near Friends Park Society on Senapati Bapat Road.

Moghekar’s son, Sandeep, 19, has lodged a first information report (FIR) in this regard. The Chatuhshrungi police have registered a case against two missing security personnel, who were on night shift at the complex on the night of the murder. The suspects have been identified as Satyanarayan and Rambabu Yadav, both from Uttar Pradesh.

Police inspector (crime), Bhimrao Tele said, “Moghekar was working as the site supervisor for Jain for two decades. After having dinner on Tuesday night, Moghekar informed his family members that he was going to Gokhalenagar, but never returned.

“Sandeep searched for his father. When he finally went inside Ambika Complex, he found his father’s body inside the lift with hands and legs tied and mouth gagged,” Tele added.

The motive for Moghekar’s murder is yet to be ascertained. The absconding suspects were working for the security agency run by RS Singh. They were hired just couple of days ago, but the agency owner had no information about the duo.
