A division bench of Justice Naresh Patil and Justice GS Kulkarni, while hearing a petition filed by a Kalbadevi resident who has highlighted the problem of lack of a parking facility and traffic congestion in the area, said, "There is no possibility of a multi-level parking facility in the area thus the authorities should consider having an underground parking facility. It will resolve a big problem in the area."

The court also suggested that the authorities could take the help of private citizens to control and manage the traffic in the area as the court felt that the presence of traffic policemen on the ground was less due to the limited strength of the force.

The court has now posted the matter for further hearing in June and sought a reply from the government on the feasibility of its suggestion.
