The Bombay high court today rejected the bail application of gangster Arun Gawli in a Shiv Sena corporator's murder case.Gawli is accused of accepting the `contract' to kill Kamlakar Jamsandikar, a Sena corporator, who was murdered in 2007.

The contract was allegedly given by Sahebrao Bhintade and Bala Surve, who were Jamsandikar's rivals in construction business as well as in the local politics.Justices R S Mohite of high court today rejected Gawli's bail plea, said public prosecutor Ajay Gadkari.

Gawli has been booked under Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act in this case.The bail pleas of Bhintade and Surve too were rejected.
