As reported by dna on April 15, Bachchan had participated in a shooting of a Hindi serial at the P-south ward office (Malad). The shooting, however, took place without the permission of higher authorities in the civic body, including municipal commissioner Sitaram Kunte.

On Monday, standing committee member Ramesh Korgaonkar questioned how come Jain allowed the filming of the serial in a municipal office. Replying to the question, additional municipal commissioner Sanjay Deshmukh, said, "We had served Jain a notice in this regard and he has replied to the same. We are going through his reply and depending on it will take a call on what action to be taken," Deshmukh told the members.
