The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday alleged that the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) administration had acted in a biased manner while filing a police case against its corporators.

BJP leader Mukta Tilak said that the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) corporators too had attacked the BJP-Shiv Sena offices in the PMC building on Monday. “The BJP-Sena offices are also public properties which were vandalised by the ruling party members,” she said.

Tilak and independent corporator Ujwal Keskar said the civic administration should have filed cases against all those responsible for damaging public properties.

Tilak alleged that the civic body filed cases against only those corporators whose names were suggested by mayor Mohansingh Rajpal.

“It was the responsibility of PMC security personnel to protect public properties. They did not perform their duties and allowed corporators of the ruling party to break the BJP and Shiv Sena’s offices,” Keskar said.
