Jalgaon district in Maharashtra today reeled under extreme heat wave conditions as Bhusawal recorded 48 degrees Celsius.

Earlier on April 17, Bhusawal had recorded 47.5 degrees Celsius, said the Central Water Commission, which monitors the temperature in the district.

Similarly, the Mamurabad Weather Bureau recorded a maximum temperature of 45.9 degrees in Jalgaon today.

Meanwhile, in Vidarbha, Akola recorded a temperature of 46.8 deg C, while Wardha and Chandrapur sizzled at 46.0 and 45.5 degrees Celsius respectively, Met officials said.

Temperature in other places were: Nagpur 44.6, Bramhapuri 45.1, Washim 43.8, Buldhana 41.5, Gondia 42.3, Yavatmal 43.6 degrees Celsius.
