Two bank employees were robbed off Rs 20 lakh by four persons who ran away with the cash after throwing acid on their faces in Kagal, police said today.

Three of the accused were arrested last night, they said.

Cashier and peon of local Kagal Cooperative Bank, who were carrying the cash to the bank on a motorbike, were intercepted
in their way by four robbers on motorbikes, who threw acid on bank employees and ran away with the cash, they said.

Details about arrested accused could not be known.
