Commercial establishments, shops and restaurants remained closed here on Wednesday in response to a call for Bandh given by local people who are demanding a dissolution of the board of directors of Shri Saibaba Sansthan trust.Abhay Shelke, one of the leaders of the local people, alleged that the trust was misusing the funds and it had not done anything for the development of Shirdi, which is visited by lakhs of devotees from across the country.The term of the present board was over, he said.The protesters are also opposed to the trust's decision to share in the expenses of construction of the proposed airport here.The Saibaba temple however remained open.
