Trouble seems to be mounting for the Bhujbal family, as the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) is on the verge of concluding their inquiry with regards to the assets owned by them. The agency has been making inquiries whether the assets owned by senior NCP leader Chagan Bhujbal, his son Pankaj and nephew Sameer were more than their known source of income.

"After the Maharashtra Sadan case was registered we had come across several properties owned by the Bhujbal family. We had then initiated inquiry into their income and assets. Bhujbal during his inquiry in the case had also provided his assets details to the ACB. With regards to the inquiry, we have sought information about income of Bhujbal, Pankaj and Sameer from the state government," said a government officer, requesting anonymity.

ACB has been making inquires with regards to assets owned by Bhujbals in coordination with the enforcement directorate. "We have almost wrapped up our inquiry and once it is over, we would take further call on what action needs to be taken," said an ACB officer. The ACB had conducted searches on 17 properties of Bhujbals in June, last year.
