The helpline number, 1800-3000-4484, that will start from Wednesday will be free of cost and will give an opportunity to citizens to find their polling booths. Adopting of society is already on.

"The idea is to help voters reach their polling booths. A lot of time they don't know their booths and waste time in searching it. If they still do not find it, they end up getting detested. What we will do is tell voters where their polling booths are," said Ruben Mascarenhas, campaign manager of Mumbai Noth-West constituency.

The helpline number as of now will be restricted to the constituency and will be working from 10am to 10pm. During this time a person calling will have to have his full name and a landmark where he lives. "If he has voted before and remember which area it was, it will help us narrow down the search," added Mascarenhas. The help, however, will be given to only those voters who have been registered before November 30, 2013.

"The reason is that the first and second supplementary list has been provided to us. The third one is still not available when the registration of voters was carried out from December 1 to as late as March 25," said Mascarenhas.

With respect to adopting of societies, the party said that since it is difficult to enter housing societies, the idea was to do so through the residents. "What we are doing is giving a form to those who live in a particular building. They can have their members join us. Through them we try to reach out to the members in a soceity," said Mascarenhas.
