Bhavishya-yaan is a unique programme that helps students enhance their skills on speaking English, life skills, e-learning, computer etc. The program is for the children from class 6 to 10.

Rajesh Shah, chairman of Bhavishya yaan, and a Rotarian, said: "This programme is run for BMC school children. This is held after a school programme so that it does not disturb the curriculum of the children. There is a screening process before students get enrolled for this programme. There is a selection criteria and written test. Last year, 650 to 700 benefited from this programme."

Sayali Malvi, past student of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar High School, said: "I took training of Bhavishya yaan when I was in class VIII. I was good in English, but I never had that confidence which I gained after taking up the programme. Today, I confidently interact with my fellow classmates in college."

Malvi scored 91% in her SSC exam and now she has got admission in second-year electronic engineering course in VJTI.

Echoing the sentiments of Malvi, a current student of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar High School, Akhilesh Gupta of class 9, said, "I have learnt life skills, computers and English through the programme. Now, I confidently speak English and am fast in operating computers."
