A 65-year-old babysitter was arrested by Nalasopara police on Wednesday night for allegedly molesting a seven-year-old girl.
Madhukar Kamble, a resident of Vijaynagar in Nalasopara (East), allegedly molested the girl at his residence. The girl’s mother, in her statement to the police, alleged that Kamble undressed her while she was sleeping and touched her private parts. The incident came to light when the girl complained of pain in her chest to her mother, said the police.
“The victim’s mother complained to us that she leave her daughter at Kamble’s place before going to work. She pay him monthly fees to baby sit her daughter.
When she asked her daughter to take bath after returning from work, the girl started crying and complained that her chest was paining. She then revealed that Kamble touched her private parts,” said Dhananjay Jagdale, assistant police inspector, Nalasopara police station.
“We have registered the case under Section 354 (molestation) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) against Kamble and will produce him before the Vasai court,” said Jagdale.
