In a special drive, the crime branch arrested over 63 Bangldeshi nationals for staying illegally in India. More than 1074 have already been arrested on similar charges in the calendar year.According to the police officials, a Bangladeshi national was arrested from near Mankhurd, based on an intelligence tip-off. The detained accused, reportedly told the interrogators that there are many other people of his nationality whom have been staying illegally near JM Baxi and Co near Uran in Raigad district. The police raided the place and arrested 63 of them on charges of illegally staying in India. At least 141 cases have been registered in this regard and over 185 have been deported back to Bangladesh, the officials said.The arrest was made as part of the special drive being carried against the Bangladeshi nationals who have been staying illegally in India and have made India their home by procuring fake documents.
