56-yr-old man found dead at his residence in Mumbai

Body of a 56-year-old man was found in his residence in Dahisar (east) on Monday around 11 am. The police have registered a case of murder and suspect that a man called Ajay has allegedly killed the deceased along with his two associates. Ajay had known the deceased for several years and visited the deceased’s house for body massage.

 

The deceased has been identified as Hosand Baman, a resident of 10th floor at Northan star building in Kandarpada area in Dahisar (east).

 

According to police, the incident came to light after Baman’s servant Sunder Pillai, 56, came to his house on Sunday around 11:15 am and found the door locked. He informed Baman’s friend who had an extra key of the house. When they opened the door they found Baman’s body lying on the floor.

 

“The accused put an underwear in Baman’s mouth and taped it with cello-tape. It appears that the deceased died due to suffocation,” said senior police inspector Suresh Killje of the MHB police station.

 

“We have recorded the statement of the servant and security guard of the building, who said that Ajay had visited 10 to 12 times for a body massage at deceased’s house earlier. Ajay knew to victim since when stayed in Bandra,” said Killje.

 

“Pillai told to police that Ajay never called Baman from his mobile phone he always called him from public phone. We have registered compliant and suspected that Ajay could be involved in murder. We are trying to trace him” added Killje.
