Two close aides of ‘93 blast accused Tiger Memon were among four men held guilty by the Tada court on Friday for their complicity in the serial blasts.

Raju Jain alias Raju Kodi and Farooq Motorwala, close associates of Tiger, were found guilty for aiding and abetting the terrorist acts.

Two others, Ayub Patel and Mujib Parkar, were also convicted. Judge PD Kode accepted the confession of Raju and the other accused, which revealed that he had allowed Tiger to use four of his jeeps and drivers to ferry smuggled arms, ammunition and explosives from the Shekhadi coast in Raigad to Mumbai.

Raju had confessed that Tiger used his jeeps for transporting smuggled gold and silver. A scooter bought by Raju was filled with RDX. Four people were killed and 21 injured when it exploded. The court acquitted Raju as it was established that he had sold the scooter to Tiger in 1992.
