34-year-old stoned to death in Talasari

The body of a 34-year-old man with severe head injuries was found in a drain near Talasari on Friday. Talasari, a town in Thane district, is located about 140km away from Mumbai.

The deceased Ranjeet Gimal, a resident of Uplat village, was brutally stoned to death, the police said, adding that a case of murder has been registered against unidentified persons. A post-mortem examination has revealed that Gimal's death was caused due to multiple injuries.

An officer from Talasari police station said that they suspect personal enmity with his relatives.
