31 inspiring moms feted with Rangoli award
The event was held at the Taj Hotel in Santacruz, for which the UMIMO had received more than 390 nominations from across the globe
Thirty-one inspiring women, who have been agents of change in society, but whose contributions had gone unnoticed, received awards on Sunday at the ‘Rangoli Awards — extraordinary stories of the girl next door’ organised by the initiative of Neha Kare Kanabar, a founder of Universe of Moms (UNIMO).
The event was held at the Taj Hotel in Santacruz, for which the UMIMO had received more than 390 nominations from across the globe, of which, 31 women got an opportunity to share their stories and were felicitated by renowned guests like Dr Sandesh Mayekar (dental surgeon), Pooja Bedi (film star), Anju Kishchandani (sex educator and producer), Swati Mayekar (FICCI FLO Chairperson) and Mona Sheth (editor, Chitralekha). The event was compered by former Miss India, Simrat Deenz Ahuja.
