A 29-year-old executive of a Mumbai based multi-national company (MNC) was allegedly raped at a well-known resort in Lonvala last Saturday.
The victim, a resident of Mumbai, was part of 270 employees of the MNC that visited the resort for a three-day conference.
“The incident took place between midnight and 3am. The suspect entered the room and raped her,” police said. Last Sunday, the victim and her parents came to Pune and lodged a case.
The police sent the victim to Sassoon hospital for medical examination. The victim suspects that an employee of the resort might have raped her, an officer said.
