On Tuesday, security at the metropolitan magistrate’s court was beefed up to receive the eight-member team from the Pakistani Judicial Commission, which was in the city to examine witnesses in the 26/11 terror attack case.

Apart from the team involved in the case, no one else was allowed to enter the courtroom, presided over by additional chief metropolitan magistrate PY Ladekar. An advocate, on the condition of anonymity, claimed, “The Pakistani judicial commission reached the court by 10.30 am and the recording of evidence started by 11am.”

Special public prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam said, “As the commission couldn’t examine everyone in one day, investigating officer Ramesh Mahale and Magistrate RV Sawant Waghule will be cross examined on Wednesday.”
