2.4km flyover opens Mumbai's Lalbaug area
The commute from Sion to Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus by road is expected to be reduced by about 20 minutes due to the flyover. The commuters would be saved from nine traffic lights.
The Lalbaug flyover, built to improve traffic situation on the busy Dr Ambedkar Road in central Mumbai, was today thrown open to the public.Maharashtra chief minister Prithviraj Chavan inaugurated the 2.4km long flyover, built by the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA).
