19-year-old molested at Juhu Beach in Mumbai, two held

A 19-year-old girl was allegedly molested by two men when she had gone to take a dip in the sea at the Juhu Beach, along with her friend after celebrating Holi on Monday. The official of the Juhu police station, who were patrolling in the area noticed an altercation between the girl and the suspects. The official then brought the suspects at the Juhu police station and following on the victim's statement both the accuse were arrested under molestation charges.

The suspects have been identified as Prakash Malappa Shinoli,19, and Kiran Krushna Todwe, 20. According to the police, the victim works as a domestic servant and lives in a slum in Vile Parle (W) along with her family. The incident took place around 3pm. "Both the suspects misbehaved and touched the girl in inappropriate places while she was taking a bath. She then raised an alarm and her friends came and confronted the men but the culprits started verbally abusing them," said a police officer.
