A 12-year old boy of class VII, who had left home for tuition classes died after falling off from his residential building at Kandivli on Wednesday afternoon. The police are probing whether the boy fell off the terrace accidentally or is there any foul play.The deceased boy has been identified as Dharmik Deepak Shah, a resident of Raj Arcade building at Mahavir Nagar in Kandivli (W). Shah studied in a private school in Kandivli.According to the police, after returning home from school, Shah left around 2.45pm informing his mother that he was leaving for tuition. However, Shah went to the terrace of the building and fell off from there.The security guard of the building spotted Shah lying in pool of blood and informed the police. Shah was rushed to Shatabdi Hospital where he was declared dead before admission, police said."After leaving home, Shah met the security guard and told him that his mother wanted to dry clothes on the terrace and took the terrace key from him. Shah later fell off from the terrace while his school bag was at the terrace," said an officer from Kandivli police station.The police have registered an accidental death case in the matter and have recorded statements of Shah's parents and security guard of the building. "We are probing what actually transpired," said the officer.
