This Valentine Day, CIDCO will be announcing the results of 1100 homes that it has decided to sell via lottery. The lottery registration for these homes will be on till January 30. Last year in August, CIDCO had come out with a lottery for 14,838 homes located in areas like Taloja, Kalamboli, Kharghar, Ghansoli and Dronagiri, for which more than 2 lakh people had applied. While close to 75 homes are in the Economically Weaker Section, the remaining are in the Lower Income Group.
The prices for the EWS homes are between Rs 1803 to 18.42 lakh, the price of those in the LIG category is between Rs 25.06 to 26.35 lakh. The area of the EWs homes is 25.89 sq mt, while that of the LIG homes is 29.82 sq mt.
The lottery is of homes that didn't find a taker in the previous lottery held by CIDCO in 2018. Hence, CIDCO has decided that those who had registered in the previous lottery, will now need not to register fresh and can use the same login and password for filing their applications.
There is a total of 11 projects in these five locations and all of them are registered with MahaRERA. Last month on December 16, MHADA held a lottery for 1384 homes for which it received over 1.64 lakh applications. There's a major demand for affordable housing and the number of applications for these homes proves the point that people are willing to buy homes when offered at affordable rates.
Of the total 14,838 homes, of which lottery was held last year, 5,262 homes were for economy weaker section (EWS) while remaining 9,576 homes for the lower income group (LIG) category. The housing projects will come up in 11 locations in the 5 nodes namely Taloja, Kalamboli, Kharghar, Ghansoli and Dronagiri in Navi Mumbai.
