An 11-year old Mumbai school girl Sayoni Chatterjee killed herself by hanging from a ceiling fan after her mother found out about her friendship with a boy. The mother had read Sayoni’s diary and confronted her. Later, she went to speak to the principle of the school, which led Sayoni to take the ghastly step.
