| English bowlers toiled hard in the second session but luck wasn't going their way as there were lot of instances where the ball didn't carry to the slip cordon. The Aussie batters came hard at them in the second session and the tourists had to change some of their bowling plans. It was James Anderson who struck twice and got rid of both Steven Smith and Alex Carey.
