Apart from the good times and the endearing memories associated with it,  I like Olive for its basic, green, warm, chilled out Mediterranean vibe which comforts you the minute you step in. But there is a condition - it cannot be a packed Thursday or Friday night with Bandra’s who’s who garnished like souvenirs.

The best way to enjoy Olive is when it’s quiet and mellow. I love the idea of the small little bar window opening to the outside. The white pebbles, palms, banyan trees — totally my scene. The music is mostly lounge or mellow house which goes nicely with the ambiance. The place has a clean feel with whites and greens. The staff is affectionate, especially if you’re a regular.

My advice for the starters would be a conventional basic Greek salad, with gerkins (if available) and crisp garlic bread (not the wet and soggy kinds). The Feta stuffed mushrooms go well with your beverage and maybe some cold cuts, like the Italian salami or you could try some of their other choices.

For the main course I would go for the Portuguese chicken with sun dried tomatoes, spicy with crunchy onions. The pepperoni, bacon and fennel pizza is also a must-try if you have the appetite.
