Xavierites come up with in-house store

It's like those stores in foreign countries, where all that the school or college-goer needs is available in the shop on campus.

Xprovista, a recent initiative by three St Xavier's College students, is a one-stop shop for all material, academic and non-academic, that students, alumni and faculty of the college can possibly want.
Srini Doshi, Sujani Shah and Arpan Yagnik are the brains behind this store that houses everything from books, files, folders, T-shirts, mugs, bags and watches, among other stuff.

With the 'X' in Xprovista representing their college St Xavier's, and 'provista' meaning 'a store' in Spanish, Xprovista is pegging itself as one unique destination that will take care of all of one's college needs.

"We will also help you preserve sweet memories of your college days, with unique files, folders, mugs and T-shirts that carry the name and logo of the college", says Srini.

Sujani talks about the collection of books that they've put together in the store. She adds that while they have started off with books related to academics, they will soon add fiction, non-fiction and other categories as well.

Probably the first such store in the city, Xprovista is aiming to create a bond between the people and the place, giving the students a corner on their own campus they can call their own, and have fond memories of, even when they've passed out of the institute.

"We college stuff from various places and put it all together here, with an objective to giving something different each time without repeating designs", says Arpan. While his friends Srini and Sujani design almost everything that comes into the store, Arpan says he lends a hand with everything else. The three promise to have something new in store for you, every time you drop in.
