I don’t think there should be one specific day in a year kept aside for making resolutions. What about the rest of the 364 days? And what’s even worse is that fact that most resolutions made on New Year don’t even last for more than a week.
I have always asserted on the fact that if there’s something I believe in or feel I should do, then it can be done any time of the year — just when I feel like. I don’t see the need to wait for the year end to make it into a resolution and then try to work on it for the rest of the coming year.
I have seen people around me make and break resolutions and I can’t help but wonder what’s the point in making such a hue and cry about ‘making resolutions’. One’s will and belief is more important than anything else and that’s what will pull one through.
Convictions are as important as pursuing them and what’s in a day? Just know for sure what you want to do and go ahead. Any day will be good enough then.
