France plans to put in place a new visa issue system to ensure timely delivery to Indian nationals. On June 30, French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius announced, “I would like to emphasise on the development of tourism between our two countries. This is a shared priority. France has decided to put in place by January 3, 2015 new visa issuing procedures to ensure delivery to Indian citizens in less than 48 hours.” He also expressed that he was glad about more and more French students visiting India for studies. “France is pleased to receive increasing number of Indian students and we are willing to welcome even more of them in the near future,” he added.
