A picture of the snow-capped peaks of the Himalayas seen from a village in Bihar is going viral online. The picture is from Singhwahini village and was shared by Ritu Jaiswal, Mukhiya of Gram Panchayat Singhwahini on Twitter.

The zoomed-in picture shows the Himalayan peak from her village. "We can see the Mount Everest from the roofs of our houses in Singhwahini village of Sitamarhi district. Nature is balancing itself", the caption reads in Hindi.

The picture went viral instantly but some raised queries on how she could be certain of the fact that the picture showed Mount Everest. Jaiswal Said Everest was visible from her husband's house in the 80s.
