Urmimala Boruah's journey from a fitness coach to winning the title at Mrs Galaxy pageant

It's about time we start giving women their due for all that they do. Apart from ensuring a smooth-running home, managing the kids, the in-laws, their parents, work, social life as well as self-care is no piece of cake. But women do it and oh-so-beautifully and gracefully. But one woman who is roaring and rearing to go is Urmimala Boruah.

Becoming nothing less than an inspiration to millions, Urmimala got married at 18 and became a mother at 19. She then went on to become a fitness coach and lost 40kgs after her pregnancy. Later, she commenced her journey as an aerobics trainer with 10 friends. But there's more to this mom who can do it all. She was always interested and inclined towards beauty pageants and decided to give it a go post marriage.

Before divulging more into that, Urmimala went on to speak more about her fitness journey to say that she has been into fitness for 18 years now with vast experience in training more than 10,000 women across the globe. "However, my fitness journey has not been so smooth. At the beginning of this physical and mental trip of toughening myself, my patience and endurance levels were tested big time.  If you want to change yourself, you should be fully be committed to the process of transformation. Like most of us all, I too had many obstacles in life", she revealed. 

She went on to represent India at the Mrs Galaxy Pageant and realized that there is so much for a woman to do if given the right option. Speaking about her triumph and the fruitful journey, Urmimala said, "When I was declared as the runner up at Mrs India Inc 2019-20, I did not take a break. As much as that was the time to celebrate my victory and success, I did not relax. Taking pride and courage in my hands, I went on to represent India and Asia continent at Mrs Galaxy pageant which was another feather in my cap."

Urmimala has had to see heartbreaking obstacles in life, but that's the power of a woman, to be able to grow that pain into something so beautiful and giving all the other women out there the courage to become better versions of themselves.
