Fashion designer Ritu Kumar discusses the younger generation's attitude to fashion, in an interview with Anna MM Vetticad.
Indian fashion designer Ritu Kumar reveals she's impressed by how the new generation doesn’t want to be restricted to anything that’s pre-defined for them.
Kumar believes the young generation of today, have a sense of individualism about fashion. "They are choosing to buy a kurti with a pair of jeans," she says.
Adding, "It's the evolution that is happening, it's something that is not being dictated by anybody."
Kumar believes it is a form of freedom of expression.
