The poem is penned by Marathi poet Krishnaji Keshav Damle, who was popularly known as 'Keshavsut'.

Addressing a gathering organised by Konkan Railway, Prabhu said, "This is matter of pride for all of us to rename the train behind Keshavsut whose poem inspired many Indians to fight to overthrow the British."

"The poem ('Tutari') inspired many Indians to fight to overthrow the British. The poem is deeply inspirational and can be read as a clarion call to action against all forms of injustice," a statement by Konkan Railway said.
