Anushka and Virat, who tied the knot in 2017, jointly announced the pregnancy in August 2020 via coordinated social media posts. And ever since the actress has been in the news mostly for her maternity look that has been taking social media by storm one photo at a time.

Meanwhile, in a recent interview with Bombay Times, Anushka spoke about resuming work post-delivery. She said, "I will be back to my shoots after I deliver my child, and will establish a system at home that ensures I can balance time between my child, home and professional life. I intend to keep working for as long as I live because acting truly makes me happy."

Recently, in an interview with Vogue India, Anushka also spoke about raising a child under the media spotlight and engage the baby on social media. Maintaining that both Virat and she would like to retain normalcy and privacy, Anushka averred, "We’ve thought about it a lot. We definitely do not want to raise a child in the public eye—we don't plan on engaging our child in social media. I think it's a decision your child should be able to take. No kid should be made to be more special than the other. It's hard enough for adults to deal with it. It's going to be difficult, but we intend to follow through."
