Kalaratri Maata
Kalaratri Maa is considered to be one of the most destructive avatars of Mother Goddess Durga. The other fierce forms are Bhadrakali, Chamundeshwari, Bhairavi, and Chandi. She destroys evil to restore peace and Dharma.
Maa Kalaratri has a dark complexion and has a third eye. She holds a scimitar and a thunderbolt in the upper and lower left hands, respectively. And she holds the Abhaya and Vara Mudra in the two right hands. This form of the Mother Goddess is mounted on a donkey. Kalaratri Maa governs Shani (Saturn), and hence, those suffering from the ill-effects of the planet worship her to rid themselves of its adverse influence.

To pray to Maa Katyayni one should perform the Panchopchara puja by offering Gandham, Pushpam, Deepam, Sugandham, and Naivedyam (bhog). Offer shringar items (sindoor, mehendi, kajal, bindi, bangles, toe ring, comb, aalta, mirror, anklets, perfume, earrings, nose pin, necklace, red chunri, mahavar, hairpins etc).
Worship Maa Kalaratri and offer jaggery (gud) or ladoos made of jaggery as 'bhog'.
