Who is Amit Thakur?

Born on October 26, 1991, in Mumbai, Amit completed his schooling at St. Xavier’s High School before pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Communication and Mass Media from R. D. National & W. A. Science College. His passion for hairstyling was ignited at a young age when he spent time at his cousin's salon. By the age of 20, he was inspired to become a hairstylist.

Amit's first significant opportunity came when he styled actress Huma Qureshi for public events. At just 21 years old, he showcased his skills during a fashion week, which marked the beginning of his successful career in the industry. Over the years, he has worked with numerous celebrities for their performances, award shows, and brand endorsements, establishing himself as one of Bollywood's leading hairstylists.

His work has been featured in several prestigious magazines, including Vogue India, Elle, Femina, and Grazia India. Notably, he styled Alia Bhatt’s hair for the Met Gala, Deepika Padukone for "Padmaavat," and Priyanka Chopra for various promotional events.

Amit has an impressive roster of clients that includes Janhvi Kapoor, Kiara Advani, and many others. He has also played a crucial role in creating stunning looks for celebrity brides like Katrina Kaif and Nayanthara on their wedding days. His relationship with Katrina is particularly close; she affectionately refers to him as "Bhaiya".

In addition to his styling work, Amit is the founder of Mane Masters Hair Academy, where he trains aspiring hairstylists. He also co-founded Manemaniac Hair Studio in Mumbai with fellow stylist Amit Yashwant, a popular destination for celebrity clients.
