India saw two eclipses in the last month, a penumbral lunar eclipse on June 5and annular solar eclipse on June 21. The latest eclipse is on Sunday which is this year's third penumbral lunar eclipse and is occurring on the day of Guru Purnima.

People in India will not be able to witness it as it is visible from India.

This lunar eclipse will start from 8:38 am and end at 11:33 am. It will be in its maximum phase at  09.59 am. The total duration of the eclipse will be 2 hours 44 minutes. Regions that will see the eclipse are parts of Africa, parts of North America, South America, South/West Europe, Pacific, Atlantic, Indian Ocean and Antarctica.

As per astrology, this lunar eclipses in Sagittarius zodiac. On June 30, Jupiter had entered Sagittarius and is currently transiting. Rahu is already present in the zodiac. Therefore, the combination of Jupiter and Rahu during the lunar eclipse will directly affect Sagittarius. The lunar eclipse will have a greater impact on Sagittarius people. People belonging to the Sagittarius zodiac may have mental stress, mother's distress, difficulty in decision making and problems related to the lower abdomen.

This is the third eclipse of the year and the last lunar eclipse will take place on 30th November.

The penumbral lunar eclipse takes place when the earth comes between the sun and the moon, but the three are not in a straight line. In such a situation, the shadow of the earth doesn't fall on a small surface of the moon directly but it is covered by the shadow of the outer part of the earth, called penumbra.
