Bejwelled tassels make a splash on the fall winter 2018 runways
Gucci beaded their ensemble with a sheer ornate overlay with floor-length tassels and Ports layered a halter fringed piece under a double breasted pantsuit. Richard Malone sent out a dramatic fringed ensemble in tartan hues.
Designer Monisha Jaising who toys with a lot of fringing and tassels in her own outings sees it as a fun trend. “It’s interesting the way it has shaped up. A fringed outfit makes the whole evening fun, when you’re going out and everyone notices it and you own every room you walk into. Also from an Instagramming and Boomrang point of view, tassels make for great Insta pics and videos,” says she.
