Honeymoon in Melbourne

Shaleen and Daljeet went to Ozland for their honeymoon and they say is a marvellous blend of “all weather types”. “I always knew I wanted a ‘snowy first holiday’ with my wife. But I also knew that my dear wifey loves the beach. After weeks of research I decided that Melbourne was just the perfect destination for our ‘dream honeymoon’,” says Shaleen.

Starting with Melbourne
Melbourne was sunny with cool nights. “Perfect for day time outdoor activities and cool nights that were spent at our cozy hotel room,” says Daljeet.

To go about the couple hired a top-of-the-line car. “We hired a Ferrari to drive to my favourite Great Ocean Road, which is a long stretch of road that runs parallel to the Pacific Ocean for almost 200kms up to the beautiful site of the 12 Apostles,” says Shaleen.
The cafes were also not to be missed. “We stopped at Eagle Rock Lighthouse (one of the biggest cafes) for some sumptuous cake and really different kinds of tea,” she says, adding, “Thanks to the pleasant weather, we hired a Harley Davidson to do our shopping rounds.

Getting snowed in
Next, the couple went for the snow show at Mt. Buller —  a mountain  peak that is a four-hour drive away from Melbourne.
“Enroute we also took a tour to a winery and then stayed the The Breathtakers Hotel.True to its name the place offered breath-taking views of the snowy mountains straight from our balcony. It was minus 6 degrees on the outside and so we just enjoyed our indoor heated pool, spa treatments, mud-sulphur baths; it was lovely,” Daljeet says, adding, “we also took skiing lessons, where Shaleen and I had loads of fun toppling over and falling into the snow over and over again.”

Towards Gold Coast
Next up was a trip to the Gold Coast. “We drove around in our Audi Cabriolet and stayed at the Sea World resort. There were water sports, polar bears, little penguins, sharks, star fishes, super dolphin show, sea lion show. We enjoyed it all,” recalls Shaleen.

Next was, the time for the amusement park at the Warner Bros Movie. “Here it was time for my dear wife to get into her true colours. She simply loved the atmosphere. The scary roller coaster rides were for me and the photos with characters were for her. It was so hard to leave that place at the end of day. We watched our first ever 4D movie (Shrek) and we were surprised at how real it felt.”
