Get ready to rock this New Year's Eve

Choreographer Achla Sachdev lists a few pointers on how to prepare for that New Year bash.

• If you have skimpy outfits in mind, don’t forget a bikini wax or an overall waxing. Don’t end up making a fashion faux pas
• Get a facial done four days before you head out for the New Year’s party to keep intact that radiant glow
• Opt for one of the latest hair colours and add a dash of red for fun. It will stand out and look funky
• Shop for your outfit keeping in mind whether it’s an indoor or outdoor party. It’s important to get acquainted with the details before selecting what to wear
• Accessorise it right! Make sure you have the right bag and shoes. It’s important to wear shoes that are comfortable and that allow you to dance freely
• Don’t overlook the manicure and pedicure. Also, match your nail colour with your outfit
• Be sure that you want to be at a particular party and know who’s attending so that you don’t end up with ugly surprises. Since it’s the New Year you’ll be ringing in, you’d want it to start off on a good note
• Carry a gift if it’s a close friend’s party — maybe, a bottle of wine. Arriving with something in your hand for your host always sends good signals.
• Don’t brood that the year is getting over, instead look forward to new beginnings and plan what you want to achieve and write it down
• Buy Alka Seltzers and keep them handy. Also, read up on hangovers so you will be prepared if it happens
• Introspect and forgive all who hurt you this year and ask for forgiveness from all those you have hurt. Start the year afresh
